Recipient of the 2025 Women in Publishing Summit Award
for Best Female Debut Author
JA Wright is an award-winning author who believes life is equal parts chaos, comedy, and unexpected plot twists — and writes accordingly. Balancing a career in Information Technology Program Management with her true love of writing, she spends her days working with teams to solve problems and her nights creating characters with even bigger ones.
She holds a Master’s degree in Writing from Johns Hopkins University and a Bachelor’s degree in English from Frostburg State University, as well as a Master’s degree in Information Technology Program Management from National Defense University. She is an active member of the Women in Publishing Summit and the Women’s Fiction Writers Association.
In her spare time, she enjoys cooking, boating, and playing frisbee with her hyper border collie. A lifelong Marylander, she grew up along the shores of the Chesapeake Bay and continues to live in Maryland. Her short stories have appeared in The Washington Post. Charcuterie Girl is her debut novel.
